Here are some photos from the protest at Fort
Funston on Saturday, April 7, 2001, attended by hundreds of people, and lots
of dogs.
Protesters were objecting to the closure of recreational land without valid
science, the conversion of the park to a preserve when its mandate is recreation,
and the new leash signs.
